The Encouragement Project

Encouragement Project cards feature hand-written encouraging notes that are offered to strangers. They might be hand delivered, or left in a public space. The note written on the card contains something that the person writing it probably needed to hear at one point in their life. The author is sending that thought to others in the hope someone else might benefit from it.

If I am going about my day and I interact with something I know is meant to lift another person up it would bring me joy. Maybe leaving this note will encourage someone. Maybe it will end up in the garbage. Maybe this note will remind someone of their worth. Maybe it will strike them as trite or simplistic. Whatever the case, the encouragement project is just meant to put a little more positivity out into the world. It won’t fix your problems. It won’t cure your mental health challenges. Maybe it can just provide a boost to help you through your day and keep you moving toward your next goal.

If you find an encouragement project card, l would love to hear your story. Did it encourage you? Did you pass it on to someone you thought needed the encouragement more than you? Let me know your thoughts, whether good or bad.
